Since 2017, the Music Policy Forum has served as conveners, connectors, and strategic advisors. Our national conferences and MPF Intensives have informed and inspired thousands of delegates across North America. We have consistently opened doors, built relationships, and served the field through introductions, conversations, and strategic connections. We have also provided invaluable strategic counsel to organizations and individuals on an untold number of issues and concerns.

Music Policy Forum: King County 2025

Music Policy Forum brought its annual conference to Seattle in partnership with KEXP, King County, and Campfire Music Foundation, and we couldn't be more grateful with how it went. Thank you to everyone who joined us in exploring new ideas, building community, and advancing a more equitable and sustainable music ecosystem.

2023 Cascadia Music Summit

The Cascadia Music Summit brought together more than 80 artists, policymakers, and industry leaders in Boise to explore the future of music in the region and beyond. What began as an experiment in moving a national conversation west became a transformative gathering that connected local voices with national perspectives and showcased Boise’s growing role in the cultural landscape.

2022 Music Ecosystem Forum

The 2022 Music Ecosystem Forum convened on November 18, 2022 at Georgetown University, bringing together a diverse group of artists, policymakers, academics, and industry leaders to reimagine the future of music as a resilient and equitable ecosystem  . Anchored by artist keynote Santigold and policy keynote Dow Constantine, the forum framed critical conversations on the history and future of musical labor, the convergence of performance and policy, environmental sustainability in music operations, and bold sector-wide renewal under the theme “Don’t Rebuild. Reimagine.”

2021 Music Policy Forum Intensive

2020 was a year of resilience and reflection for the music community.
